BMW has published a new image of the flagship crossover X7. The public debut of the model, built on the modular platform CLAR, will take place in the middle of this month.
The design of the novelty was revealed in early August on patent drawings. A little earlier they published pictures of cars on the Assembly line of the plant in American Spartanburg. It is known that the BMW X7 is larger than X5: the flagship is 178 millimetres longer, 16 wider and 55 higher. Wheelbase models also vary 3010 against 2975 millimetres.
The range of engines will consist of gasoline units with a volume of 3.0 (I6) and 4.4 litres (V8), as well as three-litre diesel engines with different power. Later there will be a hybrid gasoline-electric version with a four-cylinder engine 2.0 and an electric motor from BMW 740e iPerformance. Its power will be 326 hp and 500 nm of torque. Drive – rear or full. Box one-eight-band “automatic” ZF.
