The exterior of the “charged” BMW X3 M was revealed in the Network. Picture of the crossover was taken from one of the screens of the iDrive complex. Judging by this images, from the usual X3M-version will be different aerodynamic body kit and increased air intakes in the front bumper.
The BMW X3 M prototype was shown to the public during the DTM race weekend at the Nürburgring last autumn. Then it became known that the crossover will receive an exhaust system with four nozzles, an active M-differential and a four-wheel drive M xDrive, as on the current generation BMW M5 sedan.
According to rumors, the M-version of the BMW X3 will be equipped with a three-liter inline “six” S58 with two turbines. The engine will produce 456 horsepowers. With the power increase package Competition Package, which will be offered for the first time for crossovers, the power unit will give 482 HP.
Now the most powerful BMW X3 is a modification of the M40i, which is equipped with a 3.0-liter inline “six” that produces 360 hp and 500 Nm of torque. From zero to 100 kilometers per hour BMW X3 M40i is able to accelerate in 4.8 seconds. Maximum speed – 250 km/h.
